TCAF 2013!!!

This year I will continue to hold down TABLE 112 for COLOSSE! Jimmy Beaulieu (sexy cartoonist and founder of Colosse) will be sitting in on Sunday at an as of yet undisclosed time, but mostly it will be little ol’ me!

We’ll have a wide selection of things from the Colosse collection including a NEW minicomic from me: a print edition of my Angouleme 2013 24 Hour Comic, Sleepy Details. I’ll also have copies of my risograph print La Revolution Sexuelle for only 10 bux!

Relevant to my recent post(s). It’s not that “queer” correlates to some internal static essence of a person, it correlates to material relations—how one negotiates one’s relation to other people but also to their body, to institutions, to their environment, etc. These relations have material effects that I think we should take very seriously, and they cannot merely be “chosen” by some willing subject-agent, neither are they naturalized “parts” of a subject. And this is why, with Foucault, I’m not interested in subjectivity per se, but in techniques of subject-making, in the way a subject becomes legible at all only in movement, in and through these dynamic, mutually constitutive relations. This is no less true for a queer or “homosexual” subject.
